Even if the HH series ends, there is a lot going on in that universe and
many stories to tell. For instance, what is going on on the other side
of the Solarian League from Manticore? We don't know because we have
never visited there in one of David Weber's stories. (Not a complaint;
I just mean the universe has lots of potential.) Honor also has
children now who will need their own stories when they get older. With
the treecat population decimated in the Manpower attack on Manticore we
might have stories about more tree cats colonizing other planets. Many
things can happen.
He also has kept us guessing for a while on Dahak, the Hell's Gate
series, and I could really use some more Safehold.) I realize he has
only so much time anyway and he has way too many series to keep up with.
We all love him because of that. What ever he works on next, he has
us as readers. Did anyone else read Out of the Dark, a story I would
have never picked up if David hadn't written it? It was a good story by
the way. I found it similar to the World War series by Harry
Turtledove, also a good writer.

Post by David Wright Sr.Post by BenjaminWhich series has David's attention right now? Safehold or Honor. I
will be buying both in the order they come out, but I am curious about
which one is next. He made me grumble at the end of Mission of Honor
when he put off certain events until A Rising Thunder. I got my fix,
but I need just a little more to tie me over to the next book.

While I thoroughly enjoy The HH series and have re-read it several times, I
WANT it to come to an end. It has been an ever increasing and more complex
series of challenges, but I want to think that the Manpower and/or Sollies
problem will be the final one to overcome and that Manticore and Haven will
both survive and go on to a more prosperous and happy future.
