Is there a preferred method of reading this series. I stared at Stars
at War #1, but there is 5 other books: Stars at War II, Insurrection,
Crusade, In the Death Ground, and the Shiva Option. I started reading
them because I need a Weber fix while waiting for A Mighty Fortress, the
next Honor book, the Honorverse books to come into paperback, and the
next Hell's Gate book.

IRRC there are only five books in the series, four of which are combined into
the two _Stars at War_ books. Baen Books is notorious for republishing books
into omnibuses and then not necessarily making it clear what's in the
omnibus. I _think_ that _Stars At War 1_ contains _Crusade_ and _In Death
Ground_; _Stars at War 2_ contains _The Shiva Option_ and _Insurrection_; and
White wrote a separate book, _Exodus_, I think, set after _Insurrection_.
There are two versions of _Insurrection_: the first version was actually the
very first of the series, and there were a few continuity problems wrt what
was actually written in _In Death Ground_ and _The Shiva Option_, so it was
rewritten. IIRC the stand-alone version is the original version, while the
version in the omnibus book is the revised version. Published order is
_Insurrection_, _Crusade_, _In Death Ground_, _The Shiva Option_, and
_Exodus_. Storyline order is _Crusade_, _In Death Ground_, _The Shiva
Option_, _Insurrection_, and _Exodus_.

The two Stars At War books cover it all. There really are only 4
books.

Five if you count the one that White did by himself.

Speaking of Exodus, is there a sequal for that one yet?

I didn't much like it, so I haven't been looking.

I haven't heard anything along those lines yet, either.
